The inaugural Lincoln Presidential $1 and First Spouse Medal Set sales easily beat the other three Presidential $1 Coin & First Spouse Medal Sets’ debut in 2010, as the table below illustrates.

For the last few weeks, only the Fillmore medal set had been selling. In this round of US Mint sales figures, however, the Pierce medal set and the Buchanan medal set also hit the charts with high numbers. Buchanan added 400 and Pierce climbed 200.
In other news, the proof Mary Todd Lincoln First Spouse Gold Coin sales rose by 84 and Buchanan’s Proof Liberty gold coins increased by 32. Rounding out the top three gold coins was Jane Pierce’s proof with an addition of 20.
Mary Todd Lincoln’s uncirculated total was adjusted by negative 17. Earlier it was 2,262 but it became 2,245. Reasons could have been returns, cancellations, or an accounting correction.
In all, only 156 First Spouse coins sold compared to 507 and 1,156 in the two prior weeks.
