The Anna Harrison Uncirculated coin, that gained 118 last week, lost its footing on the top spot and came in fourth with an increase of 58. The new highest earner in this report was the Sarah Polk Uncirculated, which brought in 89 new sales.
In addition to being most popular for the week, the Polk Uncirculated passed the Julia Tyler Uncirculated in total sales. Polk is now 2,542 and J. Tyler is 2,539. That doesn’t happen often. Usually, if a newer coin passes its predecessor, it doesn’t happen until the predecessor is taken out of the line-up by the Mint. It may not be a big deal though, since the margin is small and both coins will likely be on sale through the summer.
The first of the four new 2010 First Spouse Gold Coins, Abigail Fillmore’s, would have launched this week if the Mint hadn’t adjusted it’s schedule. Back in January, the tentative date was March 4. Unfortunately, there has not been any word from the Mint about a new release date. Until Fillmore’s launch, the Anna Harrison coins will stay in the line-up, if the Mint keeps to its previous practice of letting the oldest go when the newest is dispersed.
