Buchanan’s Liberty Uncirculated Gold Coin Drops

Returns, cancellations, and/or accounting corrections negatively affected most of the First Spouse Gold Coin sales performance, the latest United States Mint sales data revealed. Their cumulative total tumbled by -350 compared to what seemed like a remarkable high of 968 in the prior report.

The biggest decrease happened to the uncirculated Buchanan’s Liberty option. In the previous round, it jumped by 493, but this time the uncirculated Buchanan’s Liberty total dropped by -418 from 5,579 down to 5,161.

Another coin that had its total reduced was the uncirculated Abigail Fillmore, which sold out about a week ago. It fell by -75 after surging 117 previously. Her proof version is still available, and its total rose by 70, making it the best seller. In the last round, it had increased by 84.

The only coin to exceed its prior performance was the Mary Todd Lincoln uncirculated coin. It climbed by 34 following its pick up of only 1 in the last round. Lincoln’s proof gold coin gained 39 versus 87 previously.

The Presidential $1 and First Spouse Medal Sets improved the most. The Lincoln set and the Buchanan set surged by 113 and 68 respectively. In the prior report, they added 90 and 0. The Pierce and Fillmore sets grew by 37 and 11, so the overall total was 229 compared to 122 previously.

There have not been any updates regarding the release of the products that will honor Eliza Johnson, the spouse of the 17th President.
