With the exception of the two newest issues, no First Lady commemorative managed to surpass 46 in news sales last week.
The US Mint launched the Letitia Tyler First Spouse Gold Coins on July 2. As of Sunday, July 12, a total of 3,605 were sold. As is typical with this series and most others, the proof coin is leading. 2,369 were purchased by collectors compared to 1,236 of the uncirculated option.
The 2008-dated Louisa Adams First Spouse Gold Coins have been off sale since July 2. Their numbers have remained unchanged for more than a week, and are likely fixed with a final figures of 7,454 proof and 4,223 uncirculated — officially the scarsist of the no longer Mint sold First Spouse Coins.
