Six out of the 10 available coins outperformed their prior numbers, but the Margaret Taylor uncirculated declined by -249 compared to last week’s gain of 278. So the combined total for all the coins ended down at -41.
Two coins tied for most popular, Abigail Fillmore’s proof and Julia Tyler’s uncirculated. Each gained 54. Margaret Taylor’s proof earned third place, adding 22. There were two coins that failed to make it to double digits. Sarah Polk’s uncirculated only rose by 8, and Letitia Tyler’s uncirculated got 7.
Tomorrow, June 3, the focus will be on the next 2010 First Spouse coin. The Jane Pierce First Spouse Gold Coins will be released at noon Eastern time. Even though it will launch at the highest price for any coin in the series, its inaugural sales should do well, based on the success of the last five First Spouse coin launches. Julia and Letitia Tyler coins are also expected to go off sale immediately prior to the Pierce release.
