It seem odd that (just as we get a new Mint Director) coins are selling out early and new coins aren’t being released.

Does anyone know what the future holds for the First Spouse series?

They are say sold out but the maximum number of coins has not been reached (15,000). I placed an order for an Abigail Fillmore MS on 3/17/11 and received a confirmation and then a backorder email from the Mint on 4/4/11 saying expected to ship on 4/19/11. Then I checked the Mints web page order status and my order say no longer available. No email saying order was cancelled or anything.

I read an article saying the Mint has lost something like 25% to 33% of its customers. Does anyone wonder why?
